Next weekend I will be taking part in the Manchester Christmas Market at the Whitworth Art Gallery.
All this work I've been doing is for that.
The trouble is I have declined to send my work to three different galleries, who have asked me for it and not put it in my etsy shop, in order to have a stall full for the Craft Market.
So I have high hopes.
Too high?
Now there aren't enough hours in the day for all the ideas i want to try.
TOO LATE!!!
If I'd started in August I would have had enough for everyone...but I just wasn't inspired then.
How does everyone else do it?

I hadn't heard of the Manchester Craft Mafia. I didn't know there was a Christmas Market at the Whitworth.
I've been following your blog for a bit - loved the heart brooches and the latest tweed affairs,even contemplated travelling across to the fairs you did near Preston, but didn't get there.
And suddenly life is good - I live in Manchester, I'm (hopefully)free next weekend......
DH an dI are coming on Saturday, hopefully I will get some supply work before hand so I can buy a little treat

Never mind how every one else does it - how do YOU do it? I am amazed by the amount of stuff that you have made and I am wondering if there are more hours in the day up North?

(I have had the same problem. I have found the solution - on my new calendar I am going to write 'Christmas starts here' on the January page, and make sure I make some things for next year's stock every week. That's the plan, anyway)
Good Luck with the Christmas Market. I hope the customers buy you out. I used to live not far from Manchester many years ago - I probably wouldn't recognise it now. The babies I had then are now in their forties!

Sounds like the way I work. When there's plenty of time there's no inspiration... then the inspiration comes and there is no time. Looks like you've made lots of fabulous stuff - really hope it goes well for you (and wish I lived nearer)
With out a doubt you will do well Jackie. I love the tweed bags and the bull's eye theme.
It looks to me as if you've done an amazing amount of beautiful work! I myself have to wait on the muse to arrive. Sometimes she's ontime and sometimes not. But without her, I can't seem to create as well, or as much!

I was at a craft fair this weekend and was stoped several times by people wanting to know where I bought my amazing pink cuff from .I did not have your details with me you must send me some contact cards .

Jackie, after looking at your 'on black' gallery, I would say you have no basis for your claim. You are so prolific, it's amazing. You are an artist, do what inspires you, when it does. Your fans (me!) will follow you..good luck at the market, I wish I were closer!
