Pictures I should have added in the last post

Just rooting through my photographs on my laptop and what a nightmare mess they are in. ( Does anyone else find that they have hundreds of 'unsorted' pictures just waiting to be copied/backed up/re organised?)

Anyway I came across the fish purses I mentioned in my previous post.

I have no pictures of the driftwood with the rusty nails though.

I think that warmed us in the winter.

Two nice things have happened since my moany post.
One is, that after I had one of my brooches on the Etsy front page, a man called Anthony from New Orleans has ordered some felt pieces, not brooches, to use in his 'High end Purses'.
I have no idea what he's going to do with them but he promises to acknowledge my input, and as he's primarilly a jeweller, and is selling these things at events to help in the regeneration of business in the city of New Orleans, I can only let my imagination have full reign.
Mardi Gras?

Secondly I have been interviewed very politely, for a post on this German blog and its very encouraging.

There was a third but I find it baffling even with the help of Babel Fish.
Look here and here and a few other similar sites. Same pictures?
How does that work?

PS I have to supply a 10 word sentence to describe my work in a submission for a craft fair.
Any ideas?

Those purses are beautiful! I had wondered about the driftwood. I had about given up on etsy about 2 months ago and then a woman bought all I had but one book! You never know what's around the corner.
Have a nice Sunday!

Looks like you've made new fans and they are spreading the word :) - the first one seems to have got the images from your Flickr stream (you can change this in your preferences by making them non-downloadable)but the other probably just clicked on your images and saved them to your PC. Is that what you wanted to know?
I had a similar thing happen to me once, with a Russian site, with my illustrations. Slightly annoying but harmless and well meant...

photos a mess UMMM yes and do I have time to sort them out .. or do I make time to sort them out .. NO way to busy with ... oh painting this and sewing that and working and a bit of cleaning .. cooking anything else I can find to procrastinate on fixing up the photos .. so I know how you feel.

at least they have acknowledged you for the pictures in the second one. and no, I haven't done it yet, I am at the thinking about which images to put on the CD stage! then I have to beat myself up twice and then I may just get around to it.

That's great Jackie - the buyer, the interview and the third (puzzler) all those lovely photos listed on the Russian blogs. In the world of blogging you're 'a player on the international stage'. BFN. Lesley

looks like your fame is spreading :-) always feels strange when your work/phots turn up somewhere unexpected. I was once awarded 'shed of the week'- work that one out :-)

Those purses look great - especially without all that manky driftwood :) - that was such a funny story. BTW - Quilting Arts FINALLY arrived in our local newsagent - it was so cool to see your stuff - great article. it was as exciting as opening the Womans Day and realising I know Kate Middleton or someone.

What wonderful photos, I just love the blues and greens. My photos are in total disarray on the computer, always tomorrow's job to sort them, never enough time today!! Interesting to see all your work on the Russian site, but I suppose there is no harm............? Cheers, Robin

It's 40 years since I last spoke any Russian, but following your links and pushing some rusty brain cells into gear, I think the essence is that the Russian authors all love your work!! And quite right too!

Your fish purses are wonderful and must have looked stunning with the driftwood. Congrats on selling the felt pieces and on the blog interview. Couldn't understand the third thing either. Ten word sentence? How about: Beautifully embroidered felt, silk and velvet pieces in glorious colours.

I've just watched a short video on the German blog on how to knit a mattress! They first made a 'rope' from 1,000 strands of wool. It's quite remarkable and worth a look.

Your fishy purses are just gorgeous, is that metallic fabric in the fringing??
You could do an acrostic poem:
Tactile
Expressive
Xcellent
Tantalising
Idiosynchratic
Luscious
Effloresce

Alchemy
Ravishing
Transcendental

You may want to substitute other words!!

The purses are great! I really enjoyed looking at the wonderful images on the Russian (?) site...I hope their intent was to showcase your work. Unfortunately I can't read the language so can't interpret - hope you can find someone who can.

Probably should have mentioned that you have to scroll down to the "auction action" one, which features the funny old suitcase I found at a sale in Norfolk. Otherwise it is horribly unclear which of the weirdnesses is of my doing...
