Numbers

My 100th post has been and gone without me noticing.
This is 101.
My 100th Etsy sale likewise..so I'm having a 10% off sale to celebrate(Till 18th Jan).
Tomorrow is Twelfth Night, The Epiphany.
The Catholic Church has confused everything by moving the Epiphany to the nearest Sunday which was yesterday.
I still haven't taken down my decorations..and a new one has appeared over the road..

just the one. I had to share it with you.

There are no more icicles anywhere near and there's this one quite low down on the tree outside the Methodist Chapel over the road. I wasn't going to post any more sewing-less posts for a while but I do hope you'll excuse this one.

Meanwhile I've found a lovely new blog. It has amused me such a lot.
Susie's blog. Not heavy on the visuals but the pictures painted by the words have made me laugh. Take time to read it.

I'm on with my Valentines pieces.
Watch out for 'tweethearts'
Coming soon.

Was that really boring?
Sorry..its January.

I'm taking down my Christmas decorations today. Just leaving up the winter stuff. I'm all about Valentines Day! That's all that has been on my mind since January 2! I'm hoping to get everything put away so that I can play this afternoon with some red pink and white.

Congratulations on your 101st Post ! I am at a lowly 26, but am trying hard this year to record thoughts. We too took down the decorations, it all looks bigger now somehow. I enjoy all your posts, sewing related or not.

Congrats on your 100th and on your 101st!

The picture of the icicle, dangling all alone, is a hoot!
I don't think I have ever seen just one lone, (and rather big I might add) icicle before... very amusing and mysterious!

I couldn't get 'in to' Christmas this year - took the tree down a week ago *blush* ... it was getting on my nerves!

You are never boring Jackie - here's to at least a hundred more.

Boring?! You? Get away!
My deccies have all gone apart from one stray bit of tinsel on the hamster cage (which will probably stay there 'til next year). Same as Kitty - just couldn't get into it this year *sob*. I'm usually so full of the festive spirit. Ah well...
Love the freaky lone icicle. Am now going to see if there's anything left in your sale.

Congratulations on reaching your milestones Jackie. That icicle is amazing. I remember seeing huge icicles hanging from buildings when I was at school many years ago. You wouldn't want to be under one if it fell!

I was just about to say what Julie noted. No you wouldnt want to be sat under that icicle!
Well, I know lots of people leave their decs up till twelth night but I for one like them down before the new year. My Mum always said out with the old and in with the new and that's how I feel about it all.
You know, the magic has gone out of Christmas over the last few decades. We decorate our homes way too early. When I was a child my Dad would come home with the tree on Christmas eve and that made it just so exciting. That's why I believe we can't wait to see the back of it all, it all goes on too long.

Christmas was special for me for lots of reasons when I was small, special food, fizzy drinks which we never normally had, the school Christmas Party, My Dad's work party the sound of Christmas Carols and making lots of home made decorations. The presents were just a bonus. Wouldn't it be nice if we could capture all the magic of yester years.

Well done Jackie on your 101st post.

Hi!
Thank you for your recent comments on the CYBER FYBER site. It's actually not too late to trade! There are still postcards left. If yours arrives before the end of the exhibition it will be ceremoniously nailed to the gallery wall for whatever time remains! It will become part of the on-line exhibition! So...consider it!
Thanks again!
