Its been a strange week.
But never mind..too boring to explain.
I decided to take advantage of the last vestige of snow before it went, to take some photos of my work.
Valentines day looms so I have made some hearts in felt as requested for Fibre+Clay
I thought the snow would be a nice backdrop but the brightness means the flash won't 'do' so the pics are bright but fuzzy. I had to fiddle about like mad with brightness and contrast.
But how do you see it?
My husband has bought a laptop.
Not any old c***top like mine but a superb soooooper dooper Macbook pro.
I am so peeved.
But hey guess what?
The ever so wonderful ambient light detector thingy makes the photos look vey dull indeed. Maybe thats how you are looking at them ?
When I brought them inside they looked better. Still in 'snowlight' through the window.
Pink....
This is my favourite colour combination
This is a leaf brooch with gold metallic thread for a change.
But the snow was good wasn't it?
Even though we are all a bit sick of it?

phew! good to have you back and the images are great, not fuzzy, not dark, perfect in fact!
I love the turquoise one, it's the sort of thing the Snow Queen would wear :-)
Most of our snow has gone - just enough to be a nuisance left now.
TO be honest I don't think my eyes or perhaps brain are refined enough to notice the difference between your innie and outtie pictures. My eyes are drawn to the brooches, that's all. I like the snowy ones because they make me think of Narnia but foremost in my mind is that the heart brooches are not only beautiful but they also look as though they're beating - with, well, passion. Absolutely perfect for THAT day.
I love the photos with the snow - the color of your hearts really pops against the white! And I agree with Sue about the Snow Queen.
It was and we are.
Hearting your hearts (see what I did there)!

Jackie, that is just THE most wonderful way of displaying your brooches....... stunning! :O)

YUMTH Factor to the Nth!
Love your hearts!
LOVELY work as always Jackie - but then I am partial to a heart. And I really like the first picture, it captures the sort of light that you only get from snow.
Fantastic idea to use snowy backdrops!
I absolutely love these heart brooches, in the snow or in the house. I don't know what they look like IRL but they look great on your blog. Nice work!
Belli!

Love the hearts!!
Great photos, no matter where they were 'tooken'. I really really like all the hearts, but have to admit I love the hot pink one the most. Tis bootifull!
Love the hearts, especially the top pink one.
MY! You are already thinking Valentine's Day with luscious hearts in velvet and thread. Beautifuly with the white background...like whipped cream.
Hard to pick a favourite, they're all beautiful. Love the first pic in the snow .... fantastic arty-farty way of displaying them. Love it!
Love them all, but the pink is so vibrant it has to be my favourite. cheers, Robin
Oh they look wonderful! I must be very old-school because I love the red and pink for Valentines. And the colors look super on my Mac--I had to tinker with the brightness/exposure on my last snow pics, too...

I don't think the outside snowy pictures look as bright as usual... but but it seems I'm on my own with that opinion! I think the brooches are still gorgeous though.
Oh these are beautiful, you are so talented
The brooches are gorgeous and set against the snow - what an inspiration.
How very dare B have a macbook!!! :-)
The snow is a stunning backdrop to your work Jackie...hope you sell loads. Each is a special work of art.
Go people : buy Jackie's handmade!
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! If you look on the back of the pink one, I'm sure you'll fine my name on it somewhere ...
Our snow is melting now, thank goodness, so the next thing to worry about will be flooding!
Lovely way to display your brooches..
I love the red one.
Take care
These images are great and I can put up with snow if your work is in front of it. I love these brooches and the colour combinations are beautiful - they are a great idea for Valentines Day.
I think they look stunning against the snow!

Oh Jackie these are lovely, and they look great against the snow...having a quiet weekend here but feeling much better, thank you for your thoughts and prayers....
Absolutely beautiful creations
Oh, I'm late - as usual! I was going to wear my 2009 heart brooch for VD but now it feels so last year! You can't do this, I'll set the fashion police on you ...
Seriously though, they are really lovely.
Lovely brooches. Spotted your work in latest "Workbox". Nice!
I'm sorry I've missed so many of your posts Jackie! Have just had a quick look and they are all great! Some wonderful pics there.
Your work looks great with the snow as a backdrop, but I can see what you mean about the fussy-ness around the edges. Not quite defined, but as an overall shot it's gorgeous. All the other close shots look wonderful, not that I'm an expert. But I do know what I like when looking at photos. If that's any help! lol. x
I have been thinking about my valentines for the last couple of days, I love what you have done!
a beauty display
surrounded by crisp white snow
