Snow business

Its been a strange week.
But never mind..too boring to explain.

I decided to take advantage of the last vestige of snow before it went, to take some photos of my work.
Valentines day looms so I have made some hearts in felt as requested for Fibre+Clay

I thought the snow would be a nice backdrop but the brightness means the flash won't 'do' so the pics are bright but fuzzy. I had to fiddle about like mad with brightness and contrast.
But how do you see it?
My husband has bought a laptop.
Not any old c***top like mine but a superb soooooper dooper Macbook pro.
I am so peeved.
But hey guess what?
The ever so wonderful ambient light detector thingy makes the photos look vey dull indeed. Maybe thats how you are looking at them ?
When I brought them inside they looked better. Still in 'snowlight' through the window.

Pink....

This is my favourite colour combination

This is a leaf brooch with gold metallic thread for a change.

But the snow was good wasn't it?

Even though we are all a bit sick of it?

phew! good to have you back and the images are great, not fuzzy, not dark, perfect in fact!

I love the turquoise one, it's the sort of thing the Snow Queen would wear :-)

Most of our snow has gone - just enough to be a nuisance left now.

TO be honest I don't think my eyes or perhaps brain are refined enough to notice the difference between your innie and outtie pictures. My eyes are drawn to the brooches, that's all. I like the snowy ones because they make me think of Narnia but foremost in my mind is that the heart brooches are not only beautiful but they also look as though they're beating - with, well, passion. Absolutely perfect for THAT day.

I love the photos with the snow - the color of your hearts really pops against the white! And I agree with Sue about the Snow Queen.

LOVELY work as always Jackie - but then I am partial to a heart. And I really like the first picture, it captures the sort of light that you only get from snow.

Oh they look wonderful! I must be very old-school because I love the red and pink for Valentines. And the colors look super on my Mac--I had to tinker with the brightness/exposure on my last snow pics, too...

I don't think the outside snowy pictures look as bright as usual... but but it seems I'm on my own with that opinion! I think the brooches are still gorgeous though.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! If you look on the back of the pink one, I'm sure you'll fine my name on it somewhere ...

Our snow is melting now, thank goodness, so the next thing to worry about will be flooding!

Oh, I'm late - as usual! I was going to wear my 2009 heart brooch for VD but now it feels so last year! You can't do this, I'll set the fashion police on you ...

Seriously though, they are really lovely.

I'm sorry I've missed so many of your posts Jackie! Have just had a quick look and they are all great! Some wonderful pics there.
Your work looks great with the snow as a backdrop, but I can see what you mean about the fussy-ness around the edges. Not quite defined, but as an overall shot it's gorgeous. All the other close shots look wonderful, not that I'm an expert. But I do know what I like when looking at photos. If that's any help! lol. x
