Small dogs + deep mud + walk =

Dog sitting again. They are a real pleasure.

(Owing to lovely comments, miserableness has been deleted here! Thanks)
Kim of oakmoon left me a lovely comment and gave me this.

Thank you Kim it cheered me up a lot and I must think about passing it on.
There are so many really lovely blogs out there and I am going to choose a couple .

Here are blogs that I find very entertaining and lovely to look at, so I invite them to receive the award.

Beading at the Beach is full of colour and lovely projects,
and if you want to dream of a rural idyll in the USA with exquisite miniature patchwork, look no further than The Shady Grove
I am being very throrough with this award and I am also going to add Margarets blog because I think it looks so beautiful and its quite new so I think she's done very well!
The award also goes to Viv who is a dear and supportive friend and her Hens Teeth is full of gorgeous and unique embroidery.
Sesga has a beautiful blog with lots of cute dolls, both human and handmade! She has probably already has this but I am awrding it to her anyway.
And finally I choose Charlotte from Fancy Picnic. She's having a break at the moment but will be back.
I think I have to choose 6. These awards go round and round and there are so many deserving blogs its difficult to choose. Its worth it because it keeps us all looking at each other for support and inspiration and friendship.

Don't give up Jackie, rejection makes us stronger, that's what I say and I'm sticking to it :)

ps,check the post below for my msg there.

Don't be down, Jackie. It happens when we put ourselves and our work out in the public domain, we are opening ourselves to others opinions. But that's all they are, other peoples opinions, and not always representative of the wider audience. I am speaking from experience, and it can feel crushing at times, but that's not why we create in the first place, is it?

Sorry, that almost turned into a lecture :)

I had to pop in here and congratulate you on your comment over on Gina's blog about the chocolate accompaniment to various activities. It's inspired and had me chuckling away. Thank you for cheering my day :) I really love the Crunchie accompaniment to autumn leaves!

Hi jackie...hey, now you've made my day by giving me an award for inspiration...I certainly feel the same about your work, plus absolute awe since I have only a little idea of how you do it!
One thing I can say, as an artist who has been submitting my work to shows for many, many years (20), the acceptance or rejection of your work is NEVER about YOU, it's always a matter of luck and timing and finding (or not) a juror whose taste and aesthetic sense matches yours. It's certainly no disgrace, nor does it say anything at all about the quality of your work, if you don't find a match!

Jackie, I am honored to accept your award especially coming from an author who inspires me so. I look forward to your posts and a chance to "walk" with you in England. Your work is an inspiration to all! Chris

haha I've got a similar photo but my Belfast sink has a 2 year old Evie in it having a bath. She had been doing hand and foot painting (think finger painting but bigger)in the garden. Unfortunately her palate features a lot of red so it looked like there'd been a murder in our garden or kitchen!! I don't which is worse - dogs or kids?
Don't be glum chum. The mojo will return. Think of all the inspiration you've given to others. Indulge in a bit of blog surfing to get some for yourself. xx

Love the picture of the little dogs! I can't imagine getting my lab into the sink - he gets a cold hosepipe when he's muddy! Keep smiling - you and your work are beautiful!

Don't tell Poppy but I have a secret hankering for a dachshund. Please avoid showing cute pictures of aforementioned dogs or there might be heated discussions at ChezMagpie.

Glad you're cheered up somewhat, love the photo and I think I've cracked the links at last thanks to your tuition!!!

Awww...what sweet little faces! I'm a sucker for fuzzy faces (probably why I married my husband).

It is impossible to know what is in someone's mind when they are selecting pieces so let's wait and see what the exhibition is like - and what sells? Re-read all your comments from people who know and love your work - and you!

Big hug....thank you for everything x

We had our Exhibition preview tonight, and it was soooo quiet! I guess it must be a sign of the times, but hey, I have wine, and tomorrow will start all over again :)
