Another order-done

The last few days have been spent fulfilling another order, not S.O.R this time.
I'd already made the Tweed Things the gallery wanted, and just had to spend a few days making silk Hearts, to go with some cuffs, so I thought I'd share them.

I had an annoying moment when I realised I'd spent ages on two gold ones and there was an obvious flaw in the fabric, so the above is one replacement, I replaced the other with a blue one.

These reds are my favourites but don't photograph well.

I think I like the one on the right with the navy stitching best.
There have to be silver ones too. Now, I've over cleverly edited this picture with the iphoto 'enhance' tool, and I don't think it does....enhance them I mean. They look a bit weary.
Speaking of silver and gold,
look at the sky we followed home from Haworth last Sunday.
We just had to stop and enjoy the sunset.

Now I am left with a sewing room like a tip after having to change boxes for posting my goods .
The only one I could find had 'other stuff' in it.
What a mess!
I am going to tidy up and then have fun with felt.
Watch this space.

Luverly Luverly hearts ..just wondered what you did with the flawed ones ??? there are some loyal followers who would be happy to give a home to a flawed heart....hint hint .....x

Going by the photos I think I liked the pink hearts the best, but I suspect that in real life I would like the steely blue ones even better. I do so love looking at your work!

Flawed to some but not to all. I like irregularities in art. Love the gold hearts!

Hurry up and get tidied and then we can see your fun with felt........... I love the red hearts, but I KNOW what you mean about red and photographs, I struggle terribly with photographing anything red.

These hearts are exquisite Jackie!Really, really beautiful. I love the different designs, they all work so well but the one with the five smaller hearts in a sort of flower shape really stands out. It's so unusual. I'm sure these will be a great success! We saw a sky like that on Saturday when the sun dipped behind Falkland hill. I need to get over to Twist Fibre studio to get more materials to try and capture it in felt. Our camera just doesn't take good sunset photos. Must invest in a better one. Maybe if I get one for my husband as a present............

gorgeous as ever.....I find that gorgeous is a perfectly adequate substitute for the ''b'' word!

Wonderful skies and beautiful, beautiful hearts. I love the gold one though never wear those colours. How annoying to find a flaw in the fabric after you had finished the heart. It's great to see a heart design that isn't cute or twee.

Love your hearts! You could make christmas decorations - even stuff 'em and they would become 3 dimensional!
As you know I cannot get out at the moment - just keeping picking up your lovely bag and smiling....

How beautiful. That red heart with the blue stitvhing really does sing and reminds me of poppies somehow.

I like the red with the blue stitching best too, but those first two pink/purple ones are so pretty - definitely my favorites.

Beauties! And which one was flawed? It's always the maker who sees the imperfection... I'd just say you meant to do it - it was an artistic choice. Shame to keep that one yourself... you should make it a "give away".

I particularly like the silver ones - can't actually believe they could be made from fabric. You use some great fabrics and I just LOVE velvet. So-o-o hard to get hold of any decent materials where I live.
