The winners!

The giveaway winners are for the green heart: Gill of  Dosie rosie
And for the pink its Anna from Inky Fingers.

Congratulations and commiserations to the rest.

I have had a wonderful day today visiting Elterwater, walking along the path by the river to 'Chesters by the River' for lunch and then walking back. We were loving it so much that we even thought we might book a holiday cottage in the village for later in the year but then we met 'The Obnoxious swearing local man and his family"

I've deleted the details..its sour and I'm over it now.

Ah well it takes all sorts.

Bye for now.

Congrats to the lucky winners and commiserations that your lovely day out was spoiled by that ignorant man. What a charming example he gave to his family - NOT. As you say - it takes all sorts and he was a right Bertie Bassett!

What a total eejit! So sad you had to suffer him but very glad it didn't turn really nasty, especially for little Hetty.

And lucky winning girls!

That was terrible how he came across but i can understand his frustration about people having their dogs off their leads...sorry...I have had too many run ins with dogs while i'am trying to walk, run, bike on the road or on trails. If you are out where you could run into other people dogs should be on their leashes.

But i sure do think the man could have handled it better and i'm sorry for your experience. Congrats to the winners! You are so so lucky to win these beautiful hearts from this beautiful lady! Hugs! deb

there is never a need to be rude, nastiness is unacceptable and I am sorry that your day was spoilt. But if I see an approaching dog on a lead, I put mine on too, it may be the other dog had issues.
As for calling you names, well unless you were walking on private land, then everyone is a tourist, whether you live in the area or not!!!!!

What a miserable life that man must be leading to have such an unfortunate attitude! All the more surprising because dog people are almost always so friendly - like their dogs!

Well done to your lucky winners! Sorry you had a horrible experience, some people are so nasty they shouldn't be allowed out without a muzzle! Hope you are feeling better now. Betsy sends woofs to you and Hetty xx

Congrats to the lucky winners. How happy are they right now! :)
Glad you were able to rise above 'the happenings' Jackie. It's not always easy but oh so necessary sometimes ....for our own peace of mind. ♥

Congratulations to the winners. Sorry that you were abused so badly. I sometimes get concerned by off-the-leash dogs when I am walking my cousin's blind dog as she gets very distressed when strange dogs suddenly arrive as she can't see them coming. I manage to be very polite to the owners however unlike your encounter.
