Not Slow cloth.
Slow-sew-quick-quick-slow-cloth.
It dries very slowly and slowly slowly I work out where I'm going to machine.
Outlining , defining laying down the structure.
Then finally I have a slow slow slow time which is most enjoyable, adding hand stitch. I have to restrain myself from doing too much.

I've done more since this picture..and there's more to do.

Oh Jackie those pieces are fantastic! I love, love free sewing and find it quite therapeutic(but I may have mentioned this many times already!!) so wondered if you do as well? Just wish I could find time to do more of it! Mind you mine definitely doesn't match up to yours in any way!

gorgeous as usual... I, too, sometimes alternate machine to hand and back again. Your machine stitching is so lovely and expressive!

Nothing wrong with using the machine with intent :) Combining hand and machine still leaves marks of *your* hand. The colours and shapes of these remind me of peeks under the forest and mountain canopies here, very beautiful,peaceful.
You get the best of both worlds with your technique - or perhaps that should be three worlds counting the felting process. I love these two pieces - every part of the design complements the other parts and the colours are, as always, beautiful.
There's something almost flamelike about that last photo - lovely!

Simply stunning! Your felt pieces are so beautifully put together even before you add stitch.
I had a sympathetic smile at your slow-sew-quick-quick-slow. Making the felt can be frustratingly slow (although satisfying) and the machining is 'all go' but the hand-stitching is a lovely, relaxing time.
