Velvet is my addiction. I love adding it to different background fabrics and stitching and sculpting it, like these felt brooches.
But wait!
What is that I spy?
A velvet-less piece...
Just the one.
I can't really kick the habit but maybe now and then a bit more stitch and a bit less surface is fun.

Yikes! I saw the heading and for a moment thought you were quitting stitching. I've been popping by for ages now and would hate to lose this eye candy treat! I'll just go and make a cuppa and calm down...
Always love to see your creations Jackie

Very pretty! Someone admired my dogdaisychain brooch today... and reluctantly I had to admit I hadn't made it!
It still looks velvety. Lovely effect : )
Velvet rules! I love velvet too. The way you use it is amazing. The one piece without velvet is amazing too though..
Blimey I thought you were quitting too- phew! Lovely lovely pieces. Thank goodness for that - I need a cuppa too...

Velvet rules ...go girl .....don't worry about the addiction .....x

..go with whatever feels right at the time! :-)
(it's usually the beginning of something good)
eek, I'm with Spiral Dyed Downunder - I thought you meant you were quitting the blog or quitting the stitching or something. Love the stitching, but I REALLY love your use of velvet. The new piece is pretty though.
Ooh, scary moment there! Certainly got my attention with that heading. Need chocolate to recover!
I really love your felt pieces, but actually your new piece is just gorgeous. Love your colour combinations.

Ooooh, wow! And WHAT an addiction to have when you get such gorgeous results... Particularly love the colour combination in the top photo...
The velvet pieces are magical Jackie but the one without it is just as lovely. Its good to know that you can still make gorgeous pieces even if you have run out of velvet - Heaven forbid!
I adore the title of this post.
Like the colours used here, Jackie.
All these new shapes look wonderful Jackie....... I love velvet too!
I read it "Quilting the Velvet"
Looks great. Enjoying your work as always.

ye gods, thought you were about to pack it all in Jackie. Im embarrassed to say I wouldnt have noticed without you pointing it out. I was too busy looking at the lovely shapes and texture created with your needle and as ever the lovely colour combinatios. dont stop!!
Embroidery works on its own sometimes :)
What the hec....no velvet...no matter, looks just as good!
Beautiful! We all get our colour fix via you....
Could your post title be a word play on a certain drama on the TV a while ago???
Whatever you make Jackie, it is just perfection. Beautifully designed, always worked with exquisite texture and colour. x
I love velvet for that extra sheen it gives but having more stitching at times is good too.
Love the humour in that title...yes, I watched it too ;-)
Fab-u-lous brooches...you are so clever Jackie.

Gorgeous - the picture of them all together is a piece of art in itself. I like the one without velvet but wouldn't want you to give it up altogther ...
