Art and Garden was as usual a delightful experience. I only took one photograph and this is it.Even with nice weather though the 'spend' was down on last year. I think all the gloomy budget talk has people afraid to part with their money.
Never mind, there's always Etsy and I have just spent a good hour listing stuff possibly in time for Fathers day?
I was very pleased that my first sale of the weekend was to a very smart man who bought himself a tweed iphone case.
Lets hope he tells everyone where he bought it!
Every year after Art ad Garden I have 'The Cleaning Week'. The house gets completely messed up before a sale and I spend the following week sorting it out. There is a gap between Art and Garden and 'Woolfest' when I tidy clean dust iron...I thought it was a one week gap but I have just discovered its two weeks.
How strange. Its been the weekend for the last two years of 'toomanythingsatonce' .
Last year we had a tutor for our embroidery group staying on the Thursday night, a musician for a folk festival on Friday and Saturday and just before all that, my son arrived with all his belongings temporarily homeless.
Two years ago we had a musician, and I was doing a craft fair at the festival so I didn't get to Woolfest.
This year we have Indi staying with us.
A golden retriever who I'm sure will enjoy Woolfest.
I am looking forward to having her.
But the best thing of all is that my husband isn't working away from home again for quite a long time.
Mind you, that also means we have to watch the world cup.The good thing about football is its nice when it stops.
Since the digital switchover my sewing room TV is useless as we have no aerial in there.

Boo, Boo the world cup! Did you see how badly the Socceroos did? They were sleeping standing up. I will now have to barrack for New Zealand. Oh how the Aussies have fallen...
we had our cable tv cut for the summer in order to force our daughter to learn to read. She will be nine soon. We went to the library today for books. I told her tomorrow we will hit the books. She then informed me she planned to be sick. see why i had to cut the tv off?? in the mean time no tv for me!

As usual your stall looked wonderful. I agree, although Art and Garden seemed busy this year, it didn't seem to translate into lots of sales, although I had a wonderful time catching up with friends who make the annual pilgrimage. I'm exhausted but inpsired now, so the mess continues..........x
I do enjoy the World Cup. I get peace to stitch to my heart's content while the man in the house is otherwise occupied!
Art and Garden sounds lovely. Where is it held?
We don't follow any sport here. Not being miserable, we just don't "do" footie, Wimbledon, Rugby etc.......... Sorry to hear sales are down, times are hard methinks................
I'm enjoying the hype more than the actual football .... though the first Bafana match was very exciting.
What a beautiful blue sky. At least in your sewing room you will get away from the constant noise of the dreadful horns.

What a glorious blue sky but sad that the sales were down. Your first customer obviously knows quality when he sees it. Enjoy your cleaning - it sounds as if you'll have plenty more with that houseful. We have a new TV but I've hardly watched it. Why can't we have a Textile World Cup?!!

it sounds like happy chaos to me. Sales are mysterious, and I think you can make up almost any ole rationale for how things went and it would be just as good as some other rationale...
here in Boston, with three guys in the house, it's the Celtics almost every night lately (gawd do those guys sweat! -- the basketball players, not my guys... I don't really mind except that the games run very late since they have to be aired so that both coasts can watch.
I hate football and every flag irritates me more...so we put Pete in a room on his own with the ironing when he watches it. What about the discenrning woman who bought an ipod case.....
Don't you just love the buzzing noise when the football is on? I thought there was something wrong with the tele..
