Winner!

Good morning.
I am waiting for a parcel so dare not even go into the shower in case the delivery man tiptoes up to the door, grazes the surface with a silent knuckle and creeps away again ..as he did yesterday.
I may be sitting all day in my dressing gown.

So to pass the time I have drawn the winner of the mugs.

This is how I did it and you'll have to take to take my word for it.
I am a very honest person.

I don't have cheese eating children so I had to be very boring about it.

I copied and pasted all your names from my comments box into a grid. Conveniently, by the time I had discounted the accidental double comments, the PSs, those who said 'don't put me in the draw I have enough mugs,' and my son, there were 100 entries.

I numbered a-j across the top row and 1-10 down the side.

I went to the random number generator site and put in 1-10 for the letters on the top row, which gave me 7, letter G

Then I repeated the process for the numbers, 1-10 which gave me number three.
So 7 across and three down gave me a winner who is.......

I haven't even looked to see which mug set she wanted, because I think I have decided which one I want now and didn't want any impartiality to creep in.
So congratulations to Gill from VintageRockchick and commiserations to everyone else.

I always feel so upset that everyone can't win. It was so lovely to 'meet ' new people.
I hope you'll all pop in again.

Much as I'm terribly upset that I didn't win I'm so pleased it is Vintagerockchick that did... because she's lovely and you never know she might let me have a cuppa in one of her mugs one day! Hope your parcel turns up soon!

Congratulations to Gill - they are wonderful mugs. I hope that postman hurries up and you don't have to sit in your dressing gown all day. So frustrating when one misses a delivery! x

A tear sliding down my face and plopping into my old, tatty and chipped coffee mug...... I didn't win........
(queue dramatic snivel)......

Only joking! Well done to the winner, and thanks for such generosity Jackie! x

Congrats to you Gill and commiserations to rest of us. Thanks to you Jackie.
Thanks for your visit too. They certainly do bring on the memories those fashion figures, I agree. :) x

Well done to Vintagerockchick. Sounds like a very complicated process you had to go through. You can borrow my delivery men - they try to knock the door down when they deliver parcels.

Congratulations vintagerockchic. I am a little sad about the mugs, they are so very lovely, but I do have a possible source of vintage TG Green mugs (at reasonable prices) so I am going to keep my eyes peeled.

I really couldn't fit another mug into my cupboard so didn't enter, but they are very smart mugs and I'm sure Vintagerockchick will like hers. Hope your parcel arrived so you could get dressed!

OOOH - just logged on and got an email from you - how exciting! I NEVER win things in real life, but in Blogland I've been very lucky and won a couple of lovely prizes! That's it, I'm not going out anymore, I'm spending all my time blogging and surfing. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to win, and to the number generator for making it happen! xxx

hey - don't they say on school sports days (and it can be applied to other stuff) - it's not about winning, it's about taking part!

Congrats to the winner. You need my dogs, they don't let the mailman get within two houses without going balistic! But that doesn't keep me from sitting around in my pjs all day.

I am very impressed with your sophisticated grid system - I feel sure that it has applications in other fields! I hope you managed to bag your parcel, too - it is the most annoying thing if they rush off without giving you chance to nab them!
