Slight Improvement

Do you remember the 'Post with Appalling Picture Quality'?

Those items have now returned and have obligingly posed again.


These pictures are an improvement but


I still wish I understood the workings of my camera,


and could make it take better pictures.


Its almost idiot proof,
but I am quite some idiot.

I've listed some of these in my ETSY shop.
I've taken advantage of the lemons.
If this idiot knows one thing, its her colour wheel.

    Have you thought about getting a small light box? It would really improve your photos - usually it is your light source more than your camera that causes the photos to not turn out well. Also, a standard background would help as well.

    Well... I absolutely love that first piece... Stunning!

    And yes, to a very old question you posed to me: long arm quilting machines are enormous. Mine is about 3 to 4 feet wide by 12 feet long - then you need about a foot or two on 3 sides to opperate it unhindered. Which roughly makes it the size of a car - but if you've got the room, they really are divine and entirely Too much Fun :)

    Have a great holiday and being a photographic novice myself, I think your pics are fine. I have the same problems with my camera especially trying to get a true reproduction of colours. I must be patient - a month ago I couldn't transfer them onto my blog so I am improving in some directions.

    I personally think your pics look great. One thing I found that helped me get to know my camera was to take several photos of the same object, each one on the next setting of the camera. mine has one for landscapes, one for low light, one for action, etc. Also I would try the flash and always one in natural light for each setting. Then I sat down and compared and got an idea of just what my camera could do. I'm still not too good with it but I have a better idea of how to get what I want. Good luck!

    Have a great Holiday I will look forward to your return with lots of pics to show and tell .
    You must buy yourself a pouffe I think that's how you spell it you know a leather foot stool .I love them so much especially the pink and blue ones .Maybe you should get lots of them and sell them whae you get home .
