Silver birches, golden leaves

This was made as a background for some other bits cut from a larger piece but in the end I liked it on its own.
Its a busy piece but the colours are nice and I am really pleased with some of the areas where the beige, cream and pale blue mix subtly. You can enlarge the pictures by clicking on them.
It was hard to stop stitching..... again
because the motion and rhythm of hand stitch is so enjoyable and I really haven't been doing enough of it lately.
Here it is in a raking light and it shows the texture of the stitched areas.

She's fed up of me stitching and typing..her chin is on the seat...there just isn't room on my lap for a dog and a mac.

How could you ignore those eyes? I wouldn't get much done at all.

  10. I love this piece, the colours and textures are perfect. The hand stitching is wonderful too. And to cap it all another mac book user, terrific! All I need now is the matching dog :-)

  11. Beautiful piece. Is Hetty becoming an advisor, telling you when a piece is finished?

I apologise for not being able to reply to all of them. It makes it harder if you are 'no reply', but I do value each comment.
