What a beautiful picture. Thankyou for sharing it with us. It reminds me of the time I thought I was photographing a heron only to find it was a decoy. I wondered why it let me get so close without flying away! Have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year.

That hateful black dog has been hanging round here too and has scared away all my creativity. But your heron was definitely a precious moment worth catching on camera.
