How can you tell its pre-sale time?
I have a lot of projects on the go and its nice to report a flurry of creativity and get a reaction so I can tell if its worth continuing with certain things.
Thanks for the comments on the i phone case. I'm making more.
A couple of years ago I bought the most lovely linen for curtains which I have still not made, so I've 'borrowed' a bit from the bottom and made some phone cases. It looks grey on my laptop but is lovely subtle Jade green
I've also made some 'going out' wear for the i phone in pure silk dupion. Its like having a Barbie doll with a change of clothes!
It's a fragile fabric but so luscious and if you know the kind of person who is always on their phone at Dinner/ in the pub/ with friends? Well it gives those around them something nice to look at while they chat and ignore them.
I wish you could see the true colours of this silk.
I'm just waiting for the arrival of some trigger hooks before I can finish these.
Today I'm making some in tweed. This isn't just any old tweed . Its Vintage Tweed sent to me by Viv of Hens Teeth. For the last year I've been stroking it lovingly and saving it for something special.
Pictures tomorrow.
Oh wow your work is so lovely. I love the vibrant colours you've used.

ReplyDeleteWow, wow and thrice wow! Those 'going out' cases are even more gorgeous than the first ones. They'll be a sellout Jackie.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely scrumptious! I drooled with envy over these ... but then I had an idea that if I bought one somebody might buy me an iphone to put in it? No? I didn't think so either.
ReplyDeleteI'd like a cover like this but don't have an iphone! They are gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Jackie! They'll be queueing up as would I if I had an iphone.
ReplyDeleteThose silk cases are pop star fabulous. You should send one to someone like Cheryl Cole and wait for the orders to come in :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Especially the red silk case. Lesley x
ReplyDeleteYour work is absolutely beautiful - you are an inspiration to a textile student like me! x
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteFound your blog, wow what lovely bags. Colours are amazing. You ae a busy crafter.
Those silk ones are such luscious little works of art!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the phone covers - so much thought in your design. Maybe try to target trendy media types for the really special ones (made to match their impossible shoes?)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Jackie -will you be able to produce them fast enough to keep up with the demand.
ReplyDeleteI noticed your stop press message--I had a similar thing happen to me where I had made a church banner and recently I had noticed that a group had taken my blog and put it onto theirs.
I complained to them-received an earfull about the how it would only help my blog and I asked them to remove it--which they did.
Now I am receiving porn e-mails from them which now go into my trash before I get them.
And they were a so called church group.
Go figure.
Sorry to fill your comment section with this.
Oh very definitly worth doing, they are lucious and I want one. Green is my alltime favorite color so make plenty of green!
ReplyDeleteOh, Jackie...the silk dupion ones are just exquisite!!
ReplyDeleteOooh - silk and dupion at that. Yum!! I have a huge weakness for dupion. I don't have an i-phone but if I did I would want one of these!!
ReplyDeleteHello Jackie - I came across your post on "Handwriting" some time ago and have only now got around to handwrting a post referring to it on my blog.
