Great excitement in the Dogdaisy household.
I would like to hold a
giveaway of a set
of 4 TG Green
Cornishware mugs,
worth £40, and the
giveaway of a set
of 4 TG Green
Cornishware mugs,
worth £40, and the
best thing is, I get to
keep a set .I already have a small collection of the Blue Domino pattern and a couple of stripey items too so as you can see I am a big fan. They were a part of my childhood and have been given a new lease of life and re launched recently.
They are standing in front of some of my lovely old old never-used-at-the-table-for-fear-of-being-broken blue and white collection. I have noticed one or two blue and white posts cropping up lately here and there so I thought I'd join in and show a bit of mine.
The Cornishware is used often. The lidded pot is for butter and the jugs for milk or custard.
I had to open the back door to shed enough light on these, and was taking a photograph just as the window cleaner arrived.
I think it confirmed his suspicions that I am mad.
Now, if you would like the opportunity to win a set of four either His or Hers mugs pictured below, from TG Green all you have to do is leave a comment here and in two weeks time, on 4th February, I will announce the winner. The winner will get a promotional code and order the mugs yourself using the code. I'll give you details.
The competition is open to anyone, new readers, lurkers, at home or abroad, so come on leave a comment.
Please make sure I have a way to get in touch with you.
Do visit the TG Green website. There's a gift shop and lots of lovely new things and a chance to win a holiday in Cornwall.
And because I am the mistress of indecision YOU, the winner, can choose which set you would like, and I will have the other. (Of course as soon as you decide, I will want that one because thats how I am)
I love the pastels of the 'Hers' set but the smart retro colours of the 'His' set are also speaking to me.
Maybe I'll just have to go and buy the 'other' set.
I must make a space in that cupboard.
Oh these are gorgeous Jackie. Either set would go with my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteLove your spotty dotty blue and white set along side the patterns and stripes. It all looks great together. That's funny about the window cleaner. My daughter and I were picking our way down an icy hill yesterday when our postie passed and asked if we wanted a lift. He didn't actually have room in the front seat so we sat in the back with the door open and our feet hanging out. Confirmation that we are a bit mad too : )
Feels a bit cheeky entering your give away as I have only just started to read your blog but I love the mugs and would dearly love a set of the girly ones. Here's hoping.
ReplyDeleteSue
Love the mugs...they remind me of the mugs we used to use when we went camping when I was a kid...I love both sets, but the girlie ones speak to me!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely mugs! My hubby would say that I was a bit of a 'mugaholic' LOL.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Alison.
I had once a vintage TG Green mug - an old one. It developed a secret crack and my tea seeped out one day. I was very sad indeed. To have four would perhaps make up for it. Please could you furnish your hat with my name? Thankyou very much.
ReplyDeleteP.S. How is it that companies that sell lovely things are approaching you with such lovely offers like this? I think it must be because you have a famous blog.
Stripey and spotty - what more can you ask for!
ReplyDeleteGreat give away. I like the spotty cups est :)
ReplyDeleteI love those retro mugs they are fabulous. First time I've seen the spotty ones, I remember the stripes from my Grandma's pantry - gosh that's a long time ago!
ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway, they are all gorgeous and lovely.
ReplyDeletecount me in for this one! Love them all but I want the ones you want!
ReplyDeleteI like both sets but the first set says summer and I can't wait until I see summer again.
ReplyDeleteI am going to retweet this and follow you on twitter.

Gorgeous, gorgeous mugs; thanks for the opportunity to win some, Jackie.
ReplyDeleteI think window cleaners must be able to tell the most extraordinary tales about people - after all, they do see righ tin to our homes. I have been known to quickly go and draw the curtains or pull the blind down, if the room inside is a mess!
x
Those domino jugs were part of your childhood, and in turn were part of mine.
ReplyDeleteGood idea giving those cups away, staves off the hording a little.
your blue collection, as for the new mugs both sets are both lovely
ReplyDeleteI think my windowcleaner is of the same opinion lol You have some beautiful plates. I would love to be in with a chance of the mugs. I shall go and have a squidge at the holiday competition :o)
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in the giveaway - I would love to be the proud owner of a matching set of mugs (the Her's set - pastels are lovely). I have the most discordent collection of mugs and a beautiful set like this would go down very well!!
ReplyDeleteJust what I need to add to my own blue & white collection; much of it from Whittards.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... which would be the best choice?... I rather like the set of "His" mugs. They're very handsome and I love the rusty-wine looking one with the black. That's a novelty for Cornish Ware, no? I too owned a lovely white and cream set when I lived in the UK still. Quintessentially English! I miss that sometimes, living here in Costa Rica!
ReplyDeleteMy email's on my blog page, if you should ever need it :}
Love those mugs. Please include me.
ReplyDeleteOhhh how lucky are you (and hopefully me!) I like the hers myself. Fingers crossed. xxx
ReplyDeleteI cannot resist this one as a blue & white collectaholic of many years .... I love your blue onion platter .... I don't have any striped just transferware in the main including vintage childen's china ... will have to post about it soon .... thanks for the opportunity x
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteI have a few blue and whites too -
I'm being cheeky as I'm not good at replying to all kind comments I get, but I would love a chance for the His set! Connie.
I have always wanted to start a collection of blue & white dishes...have no room for them, would probably never use them, but that doesn't stop me from coveting them!! I have discovered a brand of vitamin pills that are packaged in the most wonderful cobalt blue bottles, so guess which ones I've been buying (again no idea what on earth I'm going to do with the jars, but I HAVE to have them!!).
ReplyDeleteMe,me,me please! I'm feeling blue, so Jackie I'd love some nice new mugs. Thanks for the chance to own some, I do have one blue and white plate but no mugs.
ReplyDeletePlease count me in Jackie, they are lovely and would go so well with my blue and white.....blue being my absolute favourite colour. What a great give-away! Hope they would like to travel down under. Regards
ReplyDeleteOh yes please Jackie... I would love to play! You must be a very famous and important blogger indeed to have such a wonderful offer! I'm rather taken with your spotty china - it looks lovely with the other blue and white plates.
ReplyDeleteHi, don't bother to put me in the hat as I already have too many mugs but just wanted to say how you made me laugh about the window cleaner - I often think our neighbours and tradesmen must think the same about me, taking my camera to the compost bin etc.
ReplyDeleteAll of it is just lovely.....
ReplyDeleteFondly,
Kary
oooh please count me in what a lovely giveaway. thanks
ReplyDeleteOh i LOVE cornishware, ive been lusting over the webiste for ages, lol!
ReplyDeleteI am sure the window cleaner was thinking "Lovely mugs - and nice jugs too!"
ReplyDeleteI fully understand your indecision - both sets are covetable.
Don't put me in your drawing-I already have too many mugs. But I wanted to say I love your collection of blue and white, especially the little cups with the polka dots so cute! I have blue and white spode but only use it for special occasions.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win these mugs. I am such a sucker for anything of beauty and quality.
ReplyDeleteJackie, how lovely of you to have such a giveaway! I love the mugs, of course, but doubt I'd be so lucky...so instead I will share your happiness vicariously and say that I can't wait to see which set you choose to keep!! Warmest regards from Sarah E. in TX (*waves a big TX hello*)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection of blue and white, I love it and have a small collection myself.
ReplyDeleteThank you for having this giveaway and I'm so glad its open to people who live abroad as well.
Should I win I would love the his set of mugs please, the retro stripes.
You know how to get my attention...
ReplyDeleteI spent many years training to be a potter so ceramics are in my blood. There's something so lovely about the colour and clean lines of the blue and white ware.
Of course, I'd snap your hand off...but like you...I'm indecisive!!
That reminds me, must get Geoff to scrabble around the dozens of boxes to find my collection of red and white domino ware
okey dokey - I am up for a giveaway - so pop my name in the random number generator and here's hoping!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I have or perhaps I had some of this when we were married, I think I still have some egg cups.
ReplyDeleteLove to be in the give away. Penny
Mmmmmmmmmmmm - I love these! The pastels especially but I know what you mean about the others speaking to you. I think we are probably all mistresses of indecision!

ReplyDeleteWow! 42 comments already Jackie. I've only just noticed the new post. Very slow off the mark am I!
ReplyDeleteMistress of Indecision!......what a cackle!
Love both sets too and would be hard pressed to pick which myself. Mind you, think I'd rather have some of your spotted blue and white! Cheeky am I as well. ;^)
x
oh me oh my, if it ends up being me that has to decide I might have to flip a coin! It's hard finding mugs with the right size, handle, lip and weight and these look like winners! Let's hope I'm one, too! ;-)

ReplyDeleteHi Jackie - you can add me too to the list of hopefuls - I like the his retros best.

ReplyDeleteYour old blue and white dishes are so beautiful Jackie - no wonder you are scared to use them! I have some rather special wine glasses we never use either. I don't know where I would put any more mugs but these are so smart. I am sure your windowcleaner sees you as 'that interesting artistic lady' and not mad at all.
ReplyDeleteA brilliant blog as per-usual!I have nominated you a Sunshine Blog Award. x

Spent an enjoyable few hours yesterday reading the last 6 months of your blog .......... it's great that the brooches et al are doing so well - particularly becuase you are still enjoying making them. Love the pastel mugs and your spotty ones!!
ReplyDeleteWell, yes, another lurker altho I've just grown up & started with the comments - I do love them on mine but at No 75 do I have a chance for either of these beautiful sets? Part of my childhood, too.
ReplyDeleteFound your blog a few months ago (I know I know, it shouldn't have to be a giveaway to get us out, but it does work well!)Your work is beautiful, & I never realised the extent of friendship & info exchange out here! Thank you.
All of the mugs are lovely - collectively the feminine ones appeal, but individually the mugs for men win out! They're all lovely! Like your blue pieces too. Bye for now, Lesley
ReplyDeleteThey would go in my kitchen and dresser too! I love TG Green and have one or two pieces that go well with my miss-matched blue and white china ... yes ... I have a dresser with blue and white bits ... and ... no ... I don't only do RED

Mad, who said you are mad Jackie? You could not possibly be! I grew up with Cornishware here in Australia and have always loved it, if overseas is included, please count me in. Cheers, Robin
ReplyDeleteJackie
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely collection! We have a few pieces of Cornish ware and this reminds me of it.
I would like to nominate you a Sunshine Blog Award as I get such pleasure reading your words every week.
So funny because it would appear I am trying to gain some sort of underhand advantage - truly I am not!
Best wishes
Elizabeth
Absolutely gorgeous mugs! I love the colors!

ReplyDeletex
I spent yesterday choosing new mugs - these would look beautiful with mine!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway,
x
as my stroppy teenager is in charge of emptying the dishwasher most of my mugs have chips so i'd LOVE to win a set of mugs! i love the pastel ones myself :0)
ReplyDeleteDelicious mugs to be filled with something hot and sweet. Oh please enter me into your magic hat. The only thing i'd like more is one of your flowers - for they too are quite 'delcious!'
ReplyDeleteBoth sets of the mugs look lovely, I remember my Nan having loads of the blue stripey, it was never that expensive and she had a whole dresser full of the stuff x
ReplyDeleteYou're right, it's really very difficult to decide which set is more beautiful. We would have to talk together to find out which one of us gets which set!!!! As I guess I am somewhat your age these stripes conjure up memories of childhood days when I saw many mugs and especially jugs like these. Thanks for this giveaway - I would love to have a set - just as all the others! Geetings from Germany
ReplyDeleteI've only just turned up here for the first time, so don't feel obliged to enter my comment.
ReplyDeleteThe blue and white stripe mugs remind me of my Grandmother - as a child I visited her on Saturday's, she would meet me at the bus stop and then we had to walk up a very steep hill to her house, when we arrived she always made us each a steaming cup of tea in a blue stipe mug. She always gave me a cream bun too :o)
Sumea
They look lovely! Please count me in.
ReplyDeleteI love your cornishware. Many years ago I bought a T.G.Green blue and white striped flour sifter from a car boot for £3 which are now fetching up to £80!
ReplyDeleteBellaboo
I saw your fabulous brooch on Emma's blog and thought I'd pop over. Now it just looks plain old greedy that I'm commenting when such gorgeous mugs are up for grabs. Hey ho, never mind as I'd love to have a go at winning as most of ours are chipped and these are shiny and new.
ReplyDeleteHad a great look through your lovely blog and adore your use of colour. Such stunning work.
Lisa
