Now we are six

Tired though you must be of seeing my latest creations I now present two more blocks to make the whole up to six.
Several people have remarked on the fact that they look like Protozoa, which if I remember my school Biology, are single cell organisms.
Yes.
I like that idea, but they started with 'retro' in mind.
Maybe they should be called 'Retrozoa'.

Or for exhibition purposes and so I don't have to go teaching, 'Will sell Separately'.

However I don't think I could sell them.
I find it very hard to part with things.
I clung to the bumper of the car which took these long buried treasures to the tip.
Buried under a pile of junk in the garage that is. Or was.
We still have plenty more bikes in there to be parted from.

Much sewing has been done this week for Art and Garden tomorrow and Sunday. I am taking the entire contents of my etsy shop and praying for fine weather.

Maybe when its over, I can get on with a bit of housework .
But if you look closely at the picture you will see that there are other pressing jobs outside.

By the way, what happens to your blog when you use up all your 1024 megabytes?
I hope bits don't disappear.
I like my first few posts, its a lovely diary of last year. Especially this one.
Two of the dogs in the last picture have gone to pastures new.

  2. Good luck with the Art and Garden. The weather forecast looks reasonable for the weekend. Thanks for linking to that post, your felt Doc Martins were awesome.

I use Picasa to upload my pics to the blog and it doesn't use any of my bytes. The only drawback is it only loads 4 pics so you have to split the post up. My DH has been blogging for 2 years and hasn't reached the end of his bytes on his photo blog yet. (He doesn't use Picasa) I don't know what happens if you do get to the end of your bytes.

  12. That is scary. I didn't know we were limited to a certain size of blog. Mine is picture heavy so I expect that uses them quicker. Love the retro "zoas". Very colourful.

  14. Hello, I love your blog and your work. Congrats on being in QA, I thought I recognized your work although I didn't know your name other than Dog Daisy Chain. I'm covering several things in this comment, sorry. Regarding slugs:-) if you have anything copper, surround your plant with it because slugs will not cross copper. I have copper screening that I cut into little strips and make a ring around the plant. One plant was drooping over and touched the ground outside the ring and a slug got it. I live in wet Oregon, USA, we have lots of slugs. Also I am a dog lover and send my condolences for your recent loss. I'm still recovering from my own pet losses, 3 lost in 6 months. 2 were very old so that is a bit easier, at least they had full lives. Your dog is beautiful, sorry for your loss. Good luck with the show this weekend.

  15. Thank you for all your comments everyone. I am especially replying to Jan who doesn't have her own blog and is a no reply blogger. Thank you for the very comprehensive answer. I read a book called Our Lady of the forest(?)and 'Snow Falling on Cedars' set in Oregan and I know how damp it is from them.
I need to get to grips with my garden and the slugs...

  23. Beautiful Jackie! Hope the show was a great sunny success! As for the mega bytes... I used to worry about that but after two years of blogging I have only used up 30, so I figure I've got a ways to go still. Also, went to the book store last week but they hadn't yet gotten the new issue of Quilting Arts in... #$%^&#!! Hoping to snag a copy this week! xo
