Its not Embroidery, its not Craft, its not Fibre Art.Porky and Blodwen get to grips with Barbara Hepworth.
A last minute dash with our friends to the Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Kendal for the last day of the Ben Nicholson Exhibition which was excellent.
I doubt if I'll have time to do any sewing this week, another very busy one including hospital (nothing serious) church flowers for a wedding, and a workshop.
Hope this will do for now.

ReplyDeleteHi Jackie, jealous gulp... Greece sounds nice, I hope you had a great time, I bet you just lapped up the warmth. I shall be legging it up to the exhibition I love Ben's work it always inspires me... I adore Kendal's charity shops, you can always pick up bits of treasures. I think it is the 'Art run' soon, I went last year, lots of open houses, and exhibitions in artists studios and lounges, bit of a treck around, but enormous fun. Have a great weekend and thanks for that lovely information.

ReplyDeleteI would have said that they were puzzled. Why put them there for a photo when certainly dogs are cute enough on their own with no need for fancy sculptures in the picture!

I just discovered your blog. I love the dogs! They are both very cute! Is the gray one part schnauzer? I ask because I have a Miniature Schnauzer named Sally, and she is the very same color. The eyes look very similar too.

ReplyDeleteMy blog is usually known as Middle of Nowhere, but I couldn't have that as the web address, as someone else had it, so I called it all around us (momentary panic) as a technical name but Middle of Nowhere as its real name (like when someone's parents call them Sebastian and they call themselves Kevin). But my blog's been knocking about for so long now that it doesn't matter at all, it gets called both and I don't mind at all. :)
I'm still trying not to be too envious of the Greek trip...

ReplyDeleteBarbra hepworth work is stunning I had the pleasure of seeing some of it at the Tate in St Ives my one of favorite place ever .
