Hello Jackie, I am a GCSE student studying textiles and am currently doing my exam! As part of my course I had to assess some textile artists and their pieces and I came across your blog a few months ago and just had to include you as one of my artists! My theme is Overgrown and fits perfectly with your pieces, and I have done some written opinions on your leaf piece and also another piece of yours:) I have just made a piece which includes your style of embroidery for my exam and it looks great! Thankyou :)
Hi to the two Mollies. (Or should that be Mollys?) To Mollie Baker, I'm sorry I didn't see this comment when you posted it. Its a bit late now to tell you that machining is essential to my technique, although I do use hand sewing it is only after machining.
To Molly (GCSE student) I am so delighted to hear from you and glad you felt able to use my work in your studies. Good luck with the course.
I love to hear from anyone who reads..so go on...leave one! I apologise for not being able to reply to all of them. It makes it harder if you are 'no reply', but I do value each comment.
I'm so excited for this class? Just signed up.
