I hope so.
Even though I've made dozens of these and enjoyed every one, I still manage to discover that there are ways of making it more fun.
The sputnik shape above is a small variation on the floral.
Of course there's always Paisley, one of my favourite motifs but quite difficult to do in this trimmed felt method.
SOLD
Then there's the possibility to make the variation in colour.
Its quite tricky to come up with different schemes when you've made so many but I thought as autumn approaches (actually it feels like February today)I would colour accordingly.
The background felt here is a really nice mix of wool and silk fibres in browns and olives and navy blue.
SOLD (twice!)
Just right for the 'season of mists and mellow fruitfulness'!
But if anyone is feeling a bit less mellow how about sophisticated silvery grey?
Thats the misty bit.
Sophisticated splats?
SOLD
Or splodges?

... everyone uniquely beautiful! I rather like the silvery grey and lilac though.
The season of mists is particularly beautiful but I love them all. The Paisley is lovely too.
Love them all!!!
They are definitely sophisticated splats and I love them all. They just seem to get better and better the more you make. The colours are gorgeous and the autumn one is very elegant.
Hmm, I do believe that I am the proud future owner of Mr Paisley there. Squeee!
BTW, they'll always be protists to me. Isn't that a song lyric?
Love all the variations! I especially took a liking to that gorgeous paisley, but they are all gorgeous!
Ooh, the green one!!
Wow...you keep turning out beautiful pieces! The colour combos are such fun...yummy.
All of them are so wonderful. I adore each variation, shape and color combo. Together they are as fantastic and drool producing as an exquisite chocolate shop.
You have been busy. They are all wonderful in their own way.
You never cease to delight Jackie!
Love all of them!
I love the purple and lilac one but also the green ... all of them in fact!
came to your site through Jude Hill and love all your little embroidery shapes. They sing to me.

The colours in your 'sophisticated splat' are gorgeous and work so well in velvet. BFN. Lesley
Love the top one..... love them all!
Especially like the sputnik, but quite partial to the paisley! Great stuff!
My fave is the silver one but it's because your purple velvet swirl in the middle looks so rich just like plum ripple icecream
i'm really liking the gray and pink one! but then again every one is just wonderful!
Splodges or starbursts...your work is so beautiful. I love the way the centre is raised in a sort of spiral.
They are all delightful Jackie.

Funny you should think of Sputnik...my husband and I just attended the first talk in a series of space exploration talks at our local science library.. The speaker was one of the last astronauts to land on the moon... and he cited Sputnik as instilling the desire to explore space in him as a youngster.
I love them all too :)
Love these!
