I Think I'm going to make lots more of these and I've ordered some ridiculously small, very cute, deep sided stretched canvases , only 5x4 inches , to display them.
I see a wall full, either rows of them or in a square block.
I wish for now though that I could just get them together in a rectangle for this blog.
For subtlety and relief from vulgar colours, do visit Karens blog.
Its cool, calm, tasteful and relaxing.
i love the color ranges in these small units, just fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful and so unusual!
ReplyDeleteLovely shapes and colour combinations. They remind me of extra special jigsaw pieces and I think your idea of displaying them on those tiny artists canvases is a great idea. They'd look great decorating a small space or massed in a larger one.
ReplyDeleteMore nice pieces. I like the bright colors, but these are nice too.
ReplyDeleteJackie, i'm totally in love with these. Try making them into a "panorama" in your photo edit program.
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! Ha! There's room for both subtle and vulgar colours!!! Me, the older I get the more I can tick off the list of things in the "When I'm old I shall wear purple" poem........ I used to "do" subtle colours, but veer evermore towards the bright and colourful. Your work is lovely. x

They are FABULOUS and I adore the colours (not a fan of pastels and creams myself). They'll look perfect on mini canvases - great idea!
ReplyDeleteLinda xx
I can see a wall filled with mini canvases each with one of your brooches on it!! It could be a grouping of 6 or 60 either way it would be stunning and it would be so easy to rearrange the order at any time. Sign me up I want a set of screaming oragne and hot pink with turquoise thread!!! No calming needed here!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously let me know the moment yo have sets for sale!!
Hugs!
Elizabeth
