Pumped....?

Special requests are always fun to do, if a little daunting. I was asked to make a pumpkin , by a lovely lady who has previously bought pieces of my work. So we put our heads together, she showed me some pictures and here it is. A brooch about 3 inches high and 4 inches wide.

Thank you as always for lovely comments. I am sorry I am a bit behind with replies and blog reading.(And cleaning the house but you don't need to know that)

Thank you to all who came to my personal 'Craft Fair.'
I sold quite a lot of pieces but then I got tired of the tedium of listing.

I am now working on two big orders for shops.

I started with a piece of purply pink felt and used it all up.
The colours are far more vibrant than they appear here.

These are all spoken for.
And.........

Yes, the Harris Tweets will be making their annual appearance.
Very soon.
There are 6 on order.

Another possible horror story...we are soon to receive a lesson on TV in Machine Embroidery from
I can't wait.

The machine embroidery lesson should be great fun if Kirstie gets out of the way, it's Lou Gardiner! Next Tue according to her at http://lougardiner.blogspot.com/

Pumpkin looks great, you're a clever thing to be able to do commissions without too much wringing of hands ;)

Looking forward to next Tuesday & I thought I was hyper!

Love the pumpkin and the other brooches of course. Even if Kirsty isn't really a craftsperson she does at least bring to the viewers attention some people who are!

Pumpkin: wow!
Harris tweets: eee!

My Mr Tweet tweets at the tweets yet to come. He roosts on my patchwork curtains. The girls tweet at him.

I better dash before I drown in silver fingerprints.

I love that plumptious pumpkin and so will your customer. The shop order items are all gorgeous - I'd find it hard to pick just one. Maybe the Estate Agent will just be presenting the programme and someone else will give the lesson. I do hope so.

Oh Ggggrrrr to Kirstie. If I could afford the things she does on that programme I wouldn't need to be making the stuff myself!! The pumpkin is a great success, but its those pink brooches that make my heart beat faster ....

My Harris Tweet has proved to be the saviour of may of my birds. His is the only window hat they don't fly into. Can't wait to see what the estate agent does for the machine embroidery tutorial (or have I missed it already)

Looked on etsy shop for gifts. Hope to see you back there when you are feeling better.

I'm trying to catch up on my blog reading Jackie - the pumpkin is different, but still with your signature style - and I love all the hearts!
Did you see Kirstie - the best bit was the immortal line "machine embroidery is the crack cocaine of crafting" So, now we know.
