Creative Stitches and Hobby craft

All this weekend its the Creative Stitches and Hobbycraft Exhibition at Aintree Racecourse.
I was there yesterday (thursday) helping to put our group exhibition up.
My knee is testament to the number of times I ran up the ladder.
This is my bit of the show. On the right.

I made about a dozen brooches to sell and I had a call this evening from the member who was on duty today who tells me that 7 of them sold and do I have any more?

I'm on duty tomorrow

I hope for two things:
That my knee will improve
That I won't get lost on the journey like I did on Thursday.
(Twice)

Oh and number three..that I meet a friendly blogger or two.

Good luck and I hope your knee is better and that you get there on time. I went to the Stitching and Creative Crafts Show at Shepton Mallet today and although I did enjoy it I was disappointed to find it mainly geared to card makers with not a great deal of the other crafts. I'd certainly have spoken to you had you been here!

Good luck with selling out tomorrow! And from one knee sufferer to another, don't go mad, you'll pay for it.

Congrats on the sales, I am sure you will sell out! I hope your knee feels better soon. Both of mine are so rotten that I wouldn't dare try a ladder even once. So don't just soldier on and abuse them, let someone else with knees that are more healthy run up the ladder! HUGS, Marilyn

Oh, ouch - I can sympathize. I've been up & down off a chair today painting the hall and I know I'm going to suffer tomorrow. Glad to hear you're making sales (but I never had any doubt that you would). Wish I could be there!

Great news re the brooches!!!! Wish I was near, I would love to turn up and meet you and eat cake and laugh a lot!

Me too, all of the above!

Interesting to see how textiles are displayed. I've used 'panels' of driftwood before but it's quite difficult to find the 'right' size & punters might worry about sea creatures! Did you notice any other driftwood being used or 'alternative' mounts?

Hope you've had a good day. I'm not surprised your brooches sold well.

I love the look of your exhibits and hope you sell more brooches. Also hope your knee will soon be more comfortable - take it easy! If you weren't so far away I'd be there like a shot.
