Clutter: An occasional series. II

While I'm on the green and orange theme, may I present......green and orange clutter.

I have clutter in every colour scheme, every shape, and every size. I have Crown Devon clutter,

Clarice Cliffe (just a bit), Royal Doulton, and Shelley clutter.

Some from jumble sales, rescued at the end from the man with the van, some bought from shops for good money, and some inherited. Much of it has cracks in and chips out from over zealous annual washing, and from falling about when replaced on over filled shelves.

And if we de-cluttered.....we have spare clutter. Minimalism has been the watchword in home decor recently, but I think it may have passed me by. Am I bothered?

And none of this includes my sewing things. Thats another story.

This is a celebratory post. Over 2000 visits! (But I think 200 of them were me checking to see if I'd had anymore visits)

Beautiful collection Jackie. It's a constant fascination to me that something so simple as a decorated cup or plate can bring such immense joy....Another of life's simple pleasures :-)

No - some of us check your blog every day! Brightens up my day - but oh, the doom and gloom when you haven't posted!

Agree with miss frugality - enormous pleasure to be had from something so simple. And I thought I was the only one - wish I had more room to display my 'bits and pieces'.

Love the green glass. A house a few doors down from us has a fabntastic collection of coloured glass on their windowsill. It looks lovely. I'm with you - what's the point of Minimalism? Tried it when we moved to this house 3 years ago and clutter is creeping back in. It doesn't feel like home without it (much to OH's disgust hehe).
Sorry I forgot to say - TAG! You're it. You know I wanted to know more about you... well it's your turn to answer the 5 questions. Enjoy....

Gorgeous colours, I can see where all that inspiration comes from.

Two comments in one day- but I spotted a familiar plate! It is the one in the last photograph propped up betwen two others, with an orange, yellow, green and blue rim. I have the remains of a tea service in that design, inherited from my aunt.
